Bloody Mary Blooding Hot Trends Now
With temperatures on the rise, Chef Paul Wahlberg and the Alma Nove bar staff are serving a brand new menu of summer cocktails and bloody marys.

The Italian waterfront restaurant’s new drinks include ingredients like seasonal berries, herbs and savory Italian truffles.

Starting at the beginning of the summer, Alma Nove now has a new weekend menu which includes a unique selection of five Bloody Mary varieties including, the "Bacon Bloody Mary,” concocted with a Bacon Vodka finished with a crumbled bacon rim, and the "Bloody Maria" with Cazadores Tequila (6 months aged), wasabi powder and smoked chipotle.

“They’re all fantastic,” Wahlberg said. “The flavors are just unreal.”

Wahlberg said the "Bacon Bloody Mary" is his favorite and credits his bar staff with coming up with the unique new flavors.

Wahlberg and his staff were also honored earlier this week when Alma Nove was awarded “Best New Restaurant” South of Boston by Boston Magazine.

“It’s about my staff-it’s recognition for my staff because I couldn’t have done any of this without them,” Wahlberg said. “For me it’s a great compliment to them.”

For the summer season Wahlberg and his staff also tweaked their dish menu by adding Capicola ravioli with fennel crusted tuna, basil linguini with sautéed lobster, and a center-cut pork chop smothered in cherry BBQ with cumin scented sweet potato puree and roasted corn relish.

“We tweak it as we go along,” Wahlberg said. “We change some of the things to be more seasonal and as other ingredients become more available we incorporate them into the menu.” read more about Bloody Mary
