Windows 8 Versus Windows 7

About Info, Tips dan triks, How to, Solution and Troubleshooting
As expected, Microsoft has used the global platform provided by Taipei’s annual Computex show to preview its new Windows computer operating system (OS), which looks set to be something of a departure from existing desktop iterations.
The upcoming OS clearly lends heavily from Windows Phone 7—at least from an aesthetic point of view—and is being aimed at all manner of computing devices, ranging from ultra portables with touch interfaces through to conventional notebooks and desktops that utilise mouse and keyboard controls.
Notably, the operating system’s user interface (UI) can be used either with or without touch controls, and is built around a customisable tile-based design that sports bold icons that come to the fore when selected by the user.
The tiles are also able to channel "live" real-time content from a variety of online services (i.e., social networks and messaging platforms) onto the host system’s home screen, any of which can be activated and focused upon with a swift and simple click.
According to Microsoft, the software’s touch-enabled UI will be supported by hardware acceleration that’ currently being bolted onto the company’s upcoming Internet Explorer 10 web browser.
The new operating system, which has been described by Microsoft as “a re-imagining of Windows”, will also offer development support for HTML5, JavaScript and CSS, along with an app-specific online store.
It’s worth noting that Microsoft has now named the OS as “Windows 8” in an official statement, despite having moved to distance itself from that particular moniker when company boss Steve Ballmer last week referred to it as such.
No concrete news as to when Windows 8 will be ready for release, although general industry opinion points to early 2012.
